The institute's payment verification nightmare was staggering: students were submitting cropped, re-used, and even Photoshopped bank slips. A single admin staff member was spending 6+ hours daily cross-referencing slips against bank statements — and still missing an estimated Rs. 2M monthly in fraudulent submissions. Meanwhile, 800+ students queuing for manual check-in at physical class entrances were causing 30-45 minute delays, eating into actual teaching time.

How SoftGen solved it
SoftGen's approach attacked both problems simultaneously. For payments, we integrated PayHere with real-time Instant Payment Notification (IPN) webhooks — meaning the system verifies transactions at the bank level, not the screenshot level. For legacy bank transfers, we built a perceptual hash (pHash) matching engine that fingerprints every uploaded slip and instantly flags duplicates across the entire historical database. For attendance, we deployed a military-grade QR gateway that processes 1,000 scans in under 10 minutes.
